Calico Ghost Town

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

It’s the day before New Years Eve and Chuck is playing a gig with GRAMMY Nominee Lisa Haley and the Zydekats in Calico Ghost Town. This silver mining town has an interesting history.

Lisa always plays with World Class Musicians. This show featured World Renown drummer Maria Martinez along with Skip Edwards on accordian. Skip was one of Dwight Yoakam’s long time keyboard players. Of course Chuck Alvarez on the Guitar, one of Tim Weisburg’s guitar players for many years. Lisa, of course, one of the best fiddle players in the country. The late Clifton Chenier once gave Lisa the ultimate compliment…”That girl plays as good as a man.”

Listening to this band do their stuff is an honor and a treat. For Photos Click Here
