The feed back has been super positive. Tim and Chuck met today to review the show and concluded, after watching the recording, that it was a great show. LYNN KELLER did an outstanding job on bass. ADAM IDELL did great on drums. ED CALLEN blessed everyone with is voice! Thanks to Barnaby Finch on keys - what a player! An of course, Chuck and Tim, hats off to you!

This has been a fast year. Koa is healthy and extremely busy. We are grateful. He constantly displays a love for music, dance, and things with wheels. Carla Pireses and Mozart’s music attract his attention. He also seems to light up when he sees Hannah Montana pictures. He plays the dumbek, guitar, piano, and today tinkered with the mandolin. He also has made snacks out of those instruments as well. 7 teeth, 22 pounds, almost walking.

The live acoustic album featuring Don Reed, Mark Nonisa, Bryan Asher, James Murphy, and Art Valdez has just been MIXED. It sounds great. Kevin Allison is co-producing this album Chuck. Kevin has years of experience working with top musicians in the industry such as Smash Mouth, Stevie Wonder, Ambrosia, just to name a few. They are working on the album song order. When that’s decided the album will be mastered. We are very excited about the album. I’ll keep you posted.

Another successful show at the Coach House. A couple of months ago I got news that the Subdudes were going to come to California. I called the Coach House to see if there was an opening act. They asked me if I could open for them. They asked me if I could do a duo acoustic set. I ended up doing a trio. Adam Idell played on percussion and Joe Villegas played bass. Hey Everyone-
I’m opening for a band from Louisiana at the Coach House called the Subdudes. Check out there website at www.subdudes.com. They’re an incredible band with an sound that is unique to that part of our states. Their musicianship is incredible. Their vocals are rich.
I normally do my Blues thing at the Coach House- like when I opened up for Johnny Winter. This time the Coach House asked me to do an acoustic set. I will be featuring Joe Villegas on bass and Adam Idell (my blues band drummer) on hand percussion. Joe is an excellent bass player with a killer voice. Adam (BFA in percussion - Cal Arts) is a highly accomplished percussionist. As you know I have been involved in many acoustic projects the past two years. Even though Blues is my main focus the acoustic projects have been a fun and interesting experience. Here’s yet another one. This will be an awesome evening.
- Purchase your tickets from me. chuck@chuckalvarez.com. Leave your phone number and the amount of tickets you would like. Tickets are $20.00. After purchasing tickets call and make dinner reservations with the ticket number. See you at the Coach House
